Nursery Information
Evelyn Street School nursery is situated within Evelyn Street Primary Academy building, on Evelyn Street. We are not affiliated to any local private sector nurseries.
Nursery is the first step into the world of education and is often a child’s first venture alone into the larger world outside the family home. What children experience and learn in Nursery creates strong and lasting foundations on which they can build throughout their life. So, we believe it is essential that the experiences are of the highest quality.
This has been recognised by Ofsted who have judged our school as OUTSTANDING with our Nursery OUTSTANDING in all areas. We continue to strive to ensure we maintain this high standard at all times.

OPEN EVENINGS
Our Nursery will be holding the following Open Evenings during the year (2024-25).
Autumn Term:
- Monday 11th November 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 2nd December 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in January 2025
Spring Term:
- Monday 3rd March 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 31st March 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in April 2025
Summer Term:
- Monday 9th June 15.15-16.00 - All are welcome
- Monday 30th June 15.15-16.00 - For children starting Nursery in September 2025
Additional private paid hours
- £19.50 per session for 3 year olds (3 hours)
- £27.00 per session for 2 year olds (3 hours)
- £3.25 per lunchtime session (3 year old) where a packed lunch is supplied from home OR school lunch is available payable directly via ParentPay for an additional £2.80
- £4.50 per lunchtime session (2 year old) where a packed lunch is supplied from home OR school lunch is available payable directly via ParentPay for an additional £2.80

When Can A Child Start Funding
Please be aware that parents have until 31st March to apply for funding for a nursery place starting in April.
