Hubs
What is a Hub?
A hub is a term coined by the government, used to describe a designated school that has been recognised as a centre of excellence. Only the highest performing schools can be considered against the tough criteria. The criteria to become a hub school includes a strong, outstanding Ofsted inspection and sustained brilliance in reading, writing and maths.
Evelyn Street Primary Academy are proud to have been awarded with both Generate Teaching Hub and Behaviour Hub accolades.
Generate Teaching Hub
Generate Teaching Hub is the designated Teaching School Hub and teacher development specialists for all schools within three nearby local authorities - Halton, Warrington and Wigan.
Generate Teaching Hub run a range of CPD and development programmes, tailored to every stage of the teaching career. The programmes are designed to influence the work of all current and future teachers and leaders within the designated areas.
Behaviour Hub
Evelyn Street was chosen as one of the first seven Behaviour Hub lead primary schools in 2021.
The programme pairs lead schools with exemplary behaviour practices, with partner schools who want to need to improve their pupil's behaviour. We work with schools and practitioners across the north west and the midlands, implementing behaviour strategies to promote positive behaviour for parents, pupils and staff.
