Please find below a selection of activities for you to do at home with your child. Some resources may also include answers - this is to ensure it can be self-marked once complete.


Current spelling rule:

Adding –ing, –ed, –er, –est and –y to words of one syllable ending in a single consonant letter after a single vowel letter.


pat - patted - patting

hum - hummed - humming

drop - dropped - dropping

sad - sadder - saddest

Exception: The letter ‘x’ is never doubled: mixing, mixed, boxer, sixes.

This week we have been learning about 3D shapes

Please ensure your child can:

- Name the 3D shapes - you could do this by looking around the house or garden for the different shapes.

- Identify how many surfaces/faces they have.

- Recognise the 2D shapes that make up the faces.

- Identify how many edges and vertices they have.


Please ensure you are reading your home reading books regularly.
