Each year everyone at Evelyn Street enjoys taking part in the Warrington Primary Arts Network, or PAN, exhibition. Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, the exhibition that usually takes place in venues across the town centre, has had to be cancelled. As always, we are incredibly proud of the work produced by our children and wanted everyone to see their art, so we've opted for online exhibition of our own.
This year the theme of the exhibition has been Diversity and Equality. During sessions with Mrs Rapson, the children were able to create unique pieces with a view to addressing current issues of equality, diversity, LGBT, disability and mental health in an exciting and relevant way.
Below are images of the children's art, along with a quote used to inspire them.
'When I see through my eyes, I know we are different. When I see through my heart, I know we are the same.'
'Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing embracing one another's uniqueness.'
Class 3 and 3/4
'Religions are many and diverse, but reason and goodness are one.'
'We should all know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their colour.'
'We have become not a melting pot but a beautiful mosaic. Different people, different beliefs, different yearning, different hopes and different dreams.'
'We all live with the objective of being happy, our lives are all different and yet the same.'
