Firstly, we would like to welcome you to our Evelyn Street Family. Due to current circumstances, we have made some changes to our usual transition process, however we will make sure you have everything you need. We understand that starting school is a big step for you and your child, we aim to make this a positive and enjoyable experience.

Important information

Lunch

• Free school lunch is provided for all Reception children
• Teacher's will support your child to select their lunch each day
• Sample menu can be found here
• All dietary/medical requirements should be communicated via the data collection form

Snack

• The cost of snack is £1 per week and should be paid weekly in cash to your child's teachers
• Healthy snacks are an important part of our curriculum. Children become more independent in preparing and cleaning their own snacks, as well as learning about a healthy diet.
• Milk and water is available at all times, children should not bring their own water bottles.

Start and end of the day

• Miss Stone's class: start 8:40am finish 3:05pm
• Mrs Blanken's class: start 8:50am finish 3:15pm

Tapestry

Tapestry is our online learning journey tool. This supports effective communication between home and school. Please ensure you have provided a working email address to school in order for us to set up your Tapestry account. This is crucial for us to communicate with you with regards to any updates for transition in line with current government guidelines. Additionally, this will be a great way for us all to get to know each other with the current restrictions in place.
